I mostly lurk because I hate bumping from my phone but I need to vent.
Condensed version: boss is a bush, was forced to get her "boss' day" gift, she is now claiming my work as her own to get a promotion.
Today is boss' day at work. We were required the nonbosses to pay 10 for breakfast for all the supervisors. Ok, whatever, I'm a fatty and like food so I paid. My work partner went out and got our supervisor who hates me and has tried to transfer me to a different unit a gift and asked for half of the cost. Ive been here 4 months and it's been miserable. I don't feel like getting a gift for a total bush. I paid anyway because apparently I'm a pushover.
I found out my supervisor, who can't use a computer at all, is interviewing for the top position in my division tomorrow. I overheard her mentioning different things she is going to use during her interview to prove she deserves the job... it is all stuff I did, not her. Forms I created, policies and processes I wrote, etc. The only reason our projects have been on time is because I am doing everything, including her portion, because it wouldn't get done otherwise. Unfortunately the director and two outside people are doing the interviewing and they are all new and don't know that she is incompetent and is taking credit for my work. There is no way for me to say anything either. I am so stressed that she may get the job.
On top of that, DS has his SEVENTH double ear infection and his pedi says he's just fine, won't even talk tubes. I need to find a new one but it is so hard to find a good pedi group around here.

Re: NBR Boss' Day
That svcks but here's the good news. If she gets that promotion, it will become clear pretty quickly that she isn't qualified to do the work. Meanwhile, you'll have been plugging away and proving your abilities. Hang in there.

I dont understand boss' day either have the people who make the least amount of money pay for gifts for the people who make the most? I've never had this at any other job.
