Now that the temps are dropping, I'm wondering what the best way to dress LO for bed is? MIL watched DS over the weekend and when we got home, he was already in bed, in footed sleeper with a blanket over him. I waited til MIL left and went in and took the blanket off him. He stirred like he was maybe a little chilly. The temp in his room is about 68 degrees. What is your LO wearing and what temp do you keep their room?

Re: What is LO wearing to bed?
She is wearing footed pj's and a microfleece Halo sleepsack. It can get down to 63-64 in her room by the morning and she is sleeping so much better with the sleepsack.
I need a few more sacks. If you want sacks cheaper than babies r us, check out Burlington Coat Factory. They have them for 10 bucks...the Halo brand. They don't have all the cute fabric but for the price, it can't be beat.
DS sleeps in boy' gowns (like for newborns)- I found some for 9mo- I HATE the snaps/zippers in footed PJs, and the gown I can pull up to change DS 2x/night after I BF.
And then we have an A&A muslin blanket (double folded) on him with the room at about 70 (we live in the southwest, still warm). Should he get the blanket over him, he can still breathe thru it-it's light yet really keeps his body heat in.
They say you can use a light blanket at 6mo- if your LO can roll, move head, etc- our LO can do way more than that, so I'm not worried.
When we travel to a chilly location next month for Thanksgiving, we'll be doing warmer footed pajamas and maybe use 2 A&A muslin blankets. I don't like the sleep sacks, because it hinders their leg movement should they want to roll over or something.
To add, my pediatrician says the ideal baby sleeping temp is 64-68, but that you can get it get down to 60. So you don't have necessarly have to heat the crap out of your house this winter unless you like it that way too.
SIDS also increases in the winter because too many parents over bundle their kids, granted we are pretty much out of the SIDS risk time, but I think adults think they need warmer clothes than they actually need, if that makes sense.

Cotton footed sleeper and a fleece sack. Most of the sacks we have are armed ones. We keep the heat at 68 usually. Sometimes her hands feel cold when I go to feed her but overall I think she is comfortable.
Sometimes when it seems warm in the house I worry she's TOO warm in her armed fleece sack but she's never sweaty when I find her. She seems to sleep well when she's warm & cozy.
