Our plan for LO is to have her in daycare three days a week, DH and I each work 4 days a week and stay home one day with her (so she'll have three school days,a mommy day, and a daddy day) DH's work schedule is super flexible, so him being home one day a week was never a problem. We reserved a spot at the daycare we wanted a few weeks ago and they were fine with us using their three day a week plan or full time plan.
The only hitch left was my employer agreeing. My boss pulled me in for a meeting this morning and my request to work four days a week has been approved! I'm on the verge of tears I'm so happy! I realize just how luck we are to have jobs flexible enough that we can really spend time with and enjoy our LO.

I'm not going to work from home. My job requires 40 hours a week, so instead of working 5 - 8 hour days, I'll be working 4 - 10 hour days. So my day at home will be a day of being SAHM, not working from home. Sorry, that's what I meant by "a day at home".
One of the reasons I posted our daycare plan (aside from the fact that I'm so happy and relieved that it worked out) is to give other people ideas. I would love to work part time, but we are dependent on my job for health insurance so I need to keep my 40 hours per week. I found, what I think, is a creative way to do that and be a part-time SAHM.
I've gotten so many great ideas, tips, and solutions to problems from others on the board - maybe this will spark and idea for someone about how to balance work and motherhood.
