New here -- Hi!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to stop in to introduce myself. My husband and I are just starting the adoption process (we're doing DIA). We've been researching for a few months and just started the home study process in early October. We have our first home visit tomorrow!  (nervous!!)  After reading some of the older posts here, I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need to scrub  the house from top to bottom like a madwoman. :)

I've been reading the older posts and have learned so much already. This seems like a great group. Not sure how much I'll post, but want you to know how much I appreciate having this resource of folks who are going through the same things.

    Welcome! I hope you post more often!  You are right; you do not need to scrub.  Being nervous is just part of it and we can all relate!  I'm sure it will go fine.  Don't forget to celebrate with some champagne after the visit!  There are a lot of ups and downs in this process so I suggest celebrating the crap out of all the "ups."  Smile GL!

    Home November 24 2012!

    Back to RE Summer 2013. TTC journey continues: 

    Dx DOR, endometriosis, low sperm count 
    Clomid + IUI#1, #2 = BFN / IUI #3 = ???

    Laparoscopy scheduled December 2013

    Welcome and good luck with the home study today. I stressed way more than I needed to for mine. It was much better than I expected!

    It sounds like you are already well on your way, but if you haven't yet, you might want to check out the FAQs.  If nothing else, there are some good book recommendations in there that you might want for later.
