DS likes his Thomas as well but he'll also play for quite awhile with his Cars cars (small Matchbox size and the slightly bigger one). He also loves to do puzzles. Oh and he loves his Elmo guitar.
We just got a magnadoodle and he loves it (he loves to draw). He also loves his Little People Zoo animals (not the talking ones) and blocks. He builds little houses for the animals. He is just getting tall enough for his balance bike (he's a super shorty) and enjoys it a lot. He has just started getting into dressing up and pretending (he especially loves hats). He loves going to our friends' house - their little boy has a million matchbox cars and a cool double ramp.
But he loves all sorts of trucks/cars also...matchbox/hot wheels, we have several Bruder trucks & diggers that are really nice, a firetruck, wheelies & tracks...
Floor puzzles & other puzzles (12-24 piece kind)
I got them a bunch of games for their bday this year but DS still has a bit of trouble focusing on them for very long...but the M&D beanbag toss is fun for us all to play together & of all the game I got them, Zingo seems to hold their attention the best- we play it as a shared game so that we 'all win' and aren't competing against each other.
Dinosaurs/dinosaur train- this was big b/w 2 1/2 & 3 but somehow he has lost interest lately.
He just got a kitchen for his birthday with a shopping cart and loves that. He also is big into his Thomas trains but he also loves cars and trucks. Since he was two he really likes finger painting and musical stuff too.

Re: What are the 5 toys/games/etc. your BOY plays with the most?
DS loves Thomas as well! Popular around here lately are:
Dinosaur Train stuff. I found him a track and a 3 piece train at Target. Then bought a few individual dinosaurs. He takes them in the bath and to bed with him. Similar to this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_14?url=search-alias%3Dtoys-and-games&field-keywords=dinosaur+train+toys&sprefix=dinosaur+train%2Ctoys-and-games%2C189
