XP: Pregnancy arthritis?

Could use some help! I've done some googling and I'm not getting a clear answer or solution. I have been waking up throughout the night with the most ridiculous knee pain. It feels like bone on bone, but when I stand up, it goes away after a few minutes. My mom called this "pregnancy arthritis." Anyone else familiar? Know causes or treatments?

    Not familiar but it sounds to me like maybe you are sleeping more in one spot and you get sore?  I get that in my shoulder sometimes if I've been sleeping on one side too long.  Once I get up and move around a little and things shift back in line, it feels better.  Are you sleeping with your knees right on top of eachother maybe?

    I broke my arm/hand in 4 places two years ago.  My thumb really hurts where that break occured.  Did you have any prepregnancy knee injuries that could be aggravated by the preganacy hormones?
