I'm home alone w/ DD right now, which is always nice. We're watching the Nightmare Before Christmas
I planned a small surprise party for DH's bday; it's this Saturday evening. I've got everything all planned out. It's pretty low key, but I ordered party supplies online and have a friend who is going to make a grocery store run & pick up a cake for me the day before. Now I'm just determined that they are NOT going to check me into the hospital following my appt. Thursday- that would spoil everything! FX for me please!!!

I've been waiting for this post all day cuz it's V-Day for me - Woohoo!!!
Been on pins and needles waiting for this milestone, and though there are many more to go, it did bring a smile to my face when DH reminded me this morning before he left for work. Officially 7 weeks of modified BR done, now I just have to be careful not to overdo with my new comfort level.
GTKY: I'm looking forward to my shower. It is less then 5 weeks away and I'm hoping that everything will stay status quo till then so it doesn't have to be cancelled.
I got my mom's Christmas gift in the mail today - I ordered a necklace for her on Etsy with the initials of each of her grandchildren on it, including our LO. It's adorable and I think she'll love it!
GTKY: We just had our second (and last) shower this past weekend. I never thought I would make it to the first one, nevermind this one! Now we are just looking forward to meeting our squishy baby... so we wait.
Hello! I'm just joining the check-in. I'm recently diagnosed with pre-e and have been in the hospital the last couple days. I'm going home today on strict bed rest. So my high point is definitely going home!
Is there anything fun coming up that you're looking forward to? I love Halloween. Strict bed rest is going to put a damper on some plans but I'm looking forward to seeing DD in her pirate costume and having DH pick up some stickers and pumpkins for us to decorate in bed!

Yes, what could've been my low point turned into my high point today. I had an ultrasound that showed some cervical shortening/funneling, but luckily the FFN test came back negative. Hopefully the babies will stay in at least another two weeks. Also, it looks like they are putting on weight!
GTKY: Hmm...besides the babies actually being here (not until later, though!), I am looking forward to finishing our nursery. I've been after DH to hang our pictures and put up the mobile for a while now...I am reallllly hoping we finally get to that next weekend.
Oh it is a Monday! While I love having my mom here (it is super helpful!), I am so bummed I can't do my own grocery shopping. She is at the store now and I am just feeling sorry for myself at home!
GTKY: Being able to plan. Weird I know, but I spend every day wondering whether or not the LO is going to make an arrival (trust me, I want her to keep cooking!) and am completely unable to plan beyond her birth as we are supposed to be moving from Chicago to Atlanta (originally planned to move 11/15, but due to PTL that doesn't look feesible.....)
GTKY: my shower this Saturday. Same as Weddedwife, please pray my Thursday appointment ends up with me going home and not staying. I would hate to miss my shower.

My partner proposed at 1am this morning. Totally unexpected because we've discussed marriage before and decided it wasn't necessary. I'm still in shock (happy, happy shock). I'm glowing today, even after being at the doctors office for 3.5 hrs.
GTKY: My initial goal of 34w is coming up next week.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that is what I call a SERIOUS High!
Today was my first Monday of bed rest, it was so weird not going to work. I miss my co teachers and class already. However I am trying to make the best of it and enjoyed the unseasonably warm day by setting up camp on my balcony and reading a book I've been wanting to get to for ages.
I am really looking forward to my mom coming to isit this weekend.

I was having a rather low day today and then I got a package in the mail from my brother and sil! Such a nice surprise and it totally brightened my day! The chocolate covered peanut butter pretzel bites from trader joes (we don't have one close to us so such a treat) and the cookie butter were enough, but it was filled with all kinds of goodies! It was so nice to have someone acknowledge how trying bed rest can be, I feel like so many of of my friends just think I'm on a "vacation" while on bed rest!
Gtky: nothing super fun coming up...I am really looking forward to seeing DD in her halloween costume even though I can't go trick or treating with her this year. They are doing a little fall performance at DD's preschool on Halloween and I'm hoping I might get okayed by my doc to go watch her!
