I don't want to be so negative all the time and want to post something fun and happy Mondays don't always have to be bad right?
So let's brag about our little cutie pies!
As of this week my DD can wave and clap! And she also said ducky on Friday! I don't think she quite realized what was up but after a bath she was playing with her ducky and talking to it. I asked "is that your ducky". She looked at me, smiled and said "DUCKY" I about fell over! Again, I don't think she quite understands but it was loud and clear!. So proud of my little girl. I can't believe how much she has changed in just the past couple weeks!
Oh how could I forget! She also pulls herself up now in her crib. Granted only to a kneeling position but I think that's pretty amazing and I'm so proud of her!
Please do share what your genius baby is up to
Re: Brag about your Baby!
oh my goodness I love this age!
I wouldn't count your DD out, I really think they understand more than we give them credit for. I bet she really was saying Ducky!
DS2 is super strong. He lunges forward and back in his high chair and moves the whole thing around. it's kind of alarming. And he's forever pulling random things around that we really didn't think he could actually move. He's also learning to clap and wave, which I LOVE. Super cute. And DH is convinced he says "mama" and "dada" and means it.
Oh and he loves LOVES his brother, which totally melts my heart.
DD has been walking for a few weeks, pretty cool!
She is not saying any words yet except for 'Dadadadada' and 'Mamamamama', she's way more into being mobile than talking.

walking! that's amazing!!!
WHOA!!!
That is amazing! And a bit scary, such a little thing walking already
Is she flat on her feet or on her tip toes? My DD stands well but only on her tippytoes! I don't know how they don't break under all the tubbiness LOL
She walks on flat feet. In the past few weeks she completely stopped crawling in favor of walking. She can walk pretty quickly clear across our house already.

wishing all the best for your little troopers. they are certainly something to brag about!

DD has finally started crawling. She also like to pull up on to her knees. And she says 'mama', which of course melts me! And she is so easy to try new foods! I love that. She's going to be my little foodie!
DS is all potty trained now. Even at night! I wasn't sure it was ever going to happen, but I feel like he did it so fast when he decided it was time. He is, also, my little cook. He helps me cook everything. His favorite thing to make is pancakes. He can pour the batter on the pan and flip the pancake all by himself (supervised, of course!)! I even got him a little chefs apron with his name on it for christmas! I'm just completely obsessed with both my kids!
DS is cruising around the furniture, and I saw him once last night let go and stand for about 10 seconds! I don't think he even realized what he was doing
He likes to rock when he hears music, and claps his hand back and forth over his mouth while yelling to make the volume change.
He's also starting to cuddle just a little bit
Every now and then we get a good 10 seconds of cuddle time in!
That's amazing Brit!!
Layla finally crawled for the first time today:) She has been scooting around the house on her butt for a week before that...it was so cute. She started clapping at 6 months and waving last month. So I like to say her "genius" move was her early clapping:) That seemed to be the thing she did earliest.
She says mom-mom all the time, and an occasional dada, when he comes home so I know it is purposeful. She has also said hi about 5 times now when people walk in the house and say it to her, or when my husband gets her out of her crib in the morning. She hasn't said it to me yet.
