Lurker intro

Hello all,

I lurk here often just trying to get some insight in the lives of preemies and the moms who adore them. I was diagnosed with a short cervix at 20 weeks. I was put on bed rest and progesterone suppositories. Had a few scares and at 26 weeks had steroid shots. Since then I've held it together. Had been 1.6 cm cervix length for a while until 2 weeks ago when I slipped down to 1.2 and now this week I'm at .9 with quite a bit of funneling. I'm 32 weeks and 5 days so the doctor said its normal for me to start to thin out naturally anyway and they will stop checking my length at 34 weeks anyway although I will stay on the progesterone until 37 weeks if I make it there.
Something the doctor said to me just won't get out of my head. He said "I think there's a possibility you could make it to 34 weeks." And I asked "so you think I could go before then?" He said "you never know". I've always anticipated having this baby earlier though I've been praying long and hard for 37 weeks but to think of the possibility of next week just has me scared!!!!
I'm trying not to freak out and just lay around. I'm just happy that baby looks great. He's moving a lot, practicing breathing a d sucking. He was about 4 pounds last week they didn't measure him today and his cheeks are chubby!!!!

But of course I would love for him to stay a little while longer.
Anyway just wanted to introduce myself just in case. Any sage words are welcome. TIA
