Does your heart ever skip a beat when you hear someone elses childs name that was your babys name?

For instance I was watching this news story about this dog named duke. He started acting weird and made the parents check on their I believe 9 week old baby. The baby wasn't breathing but they found her in time? Well when the parents got on she was holding the baby and her daughters name was Harper. That's my babys name to and I just gasped and thought what were the odds really? I know other people use the name but it just catches me off guard. Especially with the beckhams (possible type-o) There daughter is named Harper to.

Yep I feel the exact same way...infact my daughter that we lost is also named Harper. There is a little girl in my older duaghter's preschool class that is also named Harper and I catch my breath every time I hear it.

Yes. I think about her almost every minute anyway, but I get really distracted if I hear her name or see it written down.

One of the students that works in my office is named Devan [same as my Devon]. After two weeks back, calling him by his name and talking to him isn't so hard anymore, but it took me a bit to get to that point.

All the time. It even took me off guard when he was still with us and I was out shopping for an outfit for Corbin to wear for the pictures we never got to have taken. 2 women were shopping and said his name. I went to pick up dinner one night and the guy who handed me my order was named Corbin. We have a friend who's younger brother is named Corbin (he's 21). We heard his name a lot a few weekends ago at a wedding. I kept wanting to correct people when they'd say "Corbin" and then I realized there were talking about the guy at the wedding. Catches me off guard but I also love to hear it. In any way.

Absolutely, my heart does skip a beat every time I hear someone say the name Stella. It's almost like a mini panic attack. For a split second I think, how do they know her name, then I realize they are talking to someone else. It's a sad reminder. I hope someday I can hear that name and smile.
