I plan on giving LO solids at 6 months. LO is 4.5 months and I have been looking for feeding spoons and bowls. I'm looking for bpa free, non toxic utensils and bowls. Green sprouts has some interesting stuff, but before I order, just checking to see what you are/plan on using...?
Re: recommend your LO's utensils
we're waiting until 6 months as well, but I'm thinking we'll go with something like this:

edit: they have bowls as well:

So I tossed them and just got the Munchkin stuff. I also like the mesh feeders and the suction cup bowls with lids are great as they get older. Another thing we still use is our travel suction cup placemat.
I inherited all my spoons from a friend but I believe they are gerber. I got some bpa free bowls at meijer the other day-I think they are munchkin-they have lids and one lid is vented for microwaving.
I also brought some freezer safe 2oz containers for freezing purees. I got the fresh n freeze 2 oz containers from amazon. I also have some from BRU but they were extremely hard to close. I don't think I'll be using those.
We are making out own food, and right now I have the fresh and freeze storage containers that I feed him out of, and we also use our little ramekins and sauce cups that we already have because I haven't bought bowls or anything yet. shrug
I was considering bamboo but the utensils seem too bulky and hard. Have you checked out green sprouts? There stuff is supposed to be made out of corn, its interesting. I can't find anything else so I think I may be ordering from them. Green sprouts baby.
I haven't seen that, thanks for the suggestion! Although we're planning on doing BLW and just letting her explore & eat with her fingers off her tray, I know "best laid plans" often go awry with DD : ) I'd like to have a few spoons & dishes on hand. I'll have to check out green sprouts.
