First Time Mom, OB/GYN Search Quest

Well, I found out today that my doctor does no form of prenatal stuff. When I asked, they even sounded resistant just to do the blood work to confirm the pregnancy. Though, I knew that they most likely didn't, but I was still optimistic.

 Now I'm on the hunt for a good doctor. The hard thing is that I know everyone has a different preference and personalities mesh differently. But if I have a start, I can at least have an idea of who to try. 

I'm in the Modesto area. I am considering going with a midwife because I love the idea of the personal care, but might not due to financial reasons. So a good OG/GYN that is open to midwifery "techniques" would be great.

Thanks for you all your help, this area (of finding someone) is super frustrating and stressful for me.
