pregnancy jock itch?

I've had a rash for the last couple of days that I think is like jock itch... not sure how to treat it! I've never had this before. I'll be calling the doctor tomorrow, but I could use some relief before work tomorrow.

My hubby has some tinactin spray, but I'm not sure if it's safe...

Any ideas?

  • I would take a bath, no soap. Then after towel drying let air dry for another few minutes and only wear light all cotton underwear for a few days. I would not use a panty liner or pad for a while, if you are for discharge. If you start feeling really wet or sweaty change mid day. Hope that helps.

  • I kinda think I was going through something similar.  Everything felt kind of itchy and raw down there.  I chalked it up to everything being so much more moist down there than I am used to - similar issues have happened when I was training for major races and events.  Anyway, I treated it like diaper rash, used Burt's bees diaper cream overnight. Used panty liners during the day to keep the moisture at a minimum and changed underwear often.  My issue has cleared up.  That was a lot of personal sharing.  Haha. Hope it helps!!!

  • I had something similar with DS.  I recommend you get to the doctor ASAP.  I suffered for weeks because I was too embarassed to go and the day he gave me a prescription, I felt relief.  Good luck!

  • I get that too some times...I do as PPs have said - bath, air dry, cotton panties, but also a little baby powder to keep it dry....usually goes away by the next day...but if you have any discharge that is weird in color or scent, I would call ur Dr. could be a vaginal infection that can be treated with anitbiotics.

  • try soaking in a baking soda bath or putting baking soda in your panties before bed, That always clears it up after a couple days for me!
