Teething help! Also posted on 3-6 months

I haven't posted before - definitely a lurker :) - but I can't find anything about this on the bump or anywhere else. My daughter has two teeth just starting to pop through her gums. And while she has been a bit more cranky and chewing more, it wasn't too bad. Until yesterday, when I noticed she had a cut on one of her fingers. And then today she cut two more fingers. They even bled. I'm not sure what to do since she is almost always sucking on her fingers. Anyone else have their LO do this?

  • This didn't happen with my DD so I don't have advice for you.  I guess in her waking time just keep a closer eye on when she is putting her hands in her mouth.  Poor little thing!

  • My daughter does this too! Right now she has 3 cuts on her hands and bit her lip. I don't have any advice on what to do about it. I figure it must not be that painful considering she keeps doing it. I guess just watching and making sure the cuts don't get infected or they bite too deep. I'm sure it gets worse when more teeth come in...Good luck!
  • Thanks for the replies! I think it bothers me more than it does her. :)
  • My dd is 2 now, she's a thumbsucker. She tore her thumb up when she started getting teeth. It worried me so much I tried putting Neosporin a bandage on it, but she wanted her thumb too much to allow that to last long. She was fine, just had to learn how to maneuver around those new sharp teeth. Not looking forward to it with ds, but he's a paci baby so maybe it won't be as bad!
