Gift Ideas for LO

I know this has been brought up many times, but I really need ideas! We have so many things from ds1 that its hard to come up with new ideas for LO. So what are you getting LO for birthday/christmas this year? I am getting him the fisher price zoo talkers play set for his birthday, but that's all I have. We have so many ride on/push toys, books, blocks, puzzles, musical toys, etc from our oldest that I can't find much he would like and we don't have something similar... our oldest was the first grandchild on all sides, so he's a little spoiled! Plus we just got a ton of handmedowns out of the attic in clothes, so he's really set on those too! So any input would be appreciated! I feel like I'm being onesided bc so much is handed down and ds1 already has his Christmas list ready, so I wanna be even about things, even if he is too young to care!

My best friend and her sister both still have little step stools with their names carved into them that they got for their 1st birthdays. Maybe you could do something keepsake-y like that?

If you already have a lot of toys and do not want to buy more, I would get a few things he needs-maybe clothes, shoes, or a plate and cup set and wrap those up for him to open. The money you would have spent on toys, maybe you can add to his savings account or college fund.

A plate and cup set sounds good, actually. I completely forgot ds1 has a blue crystal one that his great grandma got him. So it'd be nice to have one to hand down to LO too. We really need to start a savings for him. They have a piggy bank and my grandma always saves her change from the year and gives it to them. That always ends up being a couple hundred each, but I know that's not a very good savings plan lol. I am just really paranoid to keep their gifts even. Ds1 is excited over gifts this year, and since lo loves to copy his big brother, I would hate it if he didn't have a few toys to open, too. I know he doesn't understand but I can't bear the thought of him feeling left out! Lol I know I'm being irrational!!!
