Xp: ex lap/ hysteroscopy

With the findings from my hsg and saline us this week, my dr has scheduled me for surgery next weds. Hysteroscopy with potential d&c, scope my tubes, then an ex lap to see if my tubes are diseased and my need removed. How long did yours last? How did you feel after? Can I go back to work in 3 days? Will I be able to play with Tino? I'm nervous

I had that combo in Oct '06. I don't do well with anesthesia so it wasn't great for me. I was in recovery for a long time. DH thought he'd be able to work a half day, but they didn't send me home until late in the afternoon after a morning surgery so he missed a full day of work.

I ended up missing a whole week of work. I think part of that may have been more of a mental break down on my part Tongue Tied ; I probably could have gone back to work earlier. I was mostly worried about having my first post surgery BM at work. (I worked with all men and had to be on job sites a lot.) Now that I'm an old pro at abdominal surgeries I know the magic that is stool softener so I would take that right away after surgery.

My surgery was a long time ago and before my first child so I couldn't say about playing with your child. I'd say plan on more TV time than usual while you recover, I'm sure he won't mind too much. Smile
