So Ashton continues to shine in the NICU. Today they have been able to decrease his sugar water iv infusions to a 7% solution at a reduced frequency and have put him under the bili lights for jaundice which was kind of to be expected and should only be for a few days. They have also upped his feeds to 15ml every 3 hrs. I got to change his diaper today and hold him for an hour last night. They showed me how to tube feed today too.
The best news is .....he is doing so well and is so stable that they think they will be able to transfer him to our home hospital NICU THIS WEEKEND! I should be released tomorrow, so it would be awesome if he could go to our home hospital on the same day, then that would be the icing on the cake!
