sports bra in general?

I need some good recommendations.  As I've shrunk in size these last several months, EVERYTHING has shrunk in size (I've gone from a 38DD to a 34DD - however, things just aren't like they used to be in general, which I am sure most of you post-baby can relate to) - and the sports bras I have just aren't cutting it.  I need something that is pretty supportive...and prefer padding.  For the most part, there's not a lot of bouncing around as I primarily do spin and the various elliptical/stair climber machines for cardio (but I keep saying i want to give running one last shot), however, I also do a boot camp class at least once a week that includes, depending on the class, intervals of jumping rope, jumping jacks, various other jumping/running/bouncing type movements (include those dreadful burpees).

Re: sports bra in general?

  • It's my rec for nursing, but in general I love the Moving Comfort Sports Bras for larger chested runners.  I splurged and got one the first time I trained for a half marathon and have been hooked ever since.  (I was a 34D pre-pregnancy, a 36DD during pregnancy, and now I'm still breastfeeding and a 36G)

  • Ditto on Moving Comfort.  I love their Fiona bra.  I was a big fan of Lululemon's Ta-Ta Tamer before I got pregnant.
  • I have an Under Armor and a Speedo sports bra that I like best out of all mine. I can actually run well supported in both. I'm a 38DD and shrinking (waistband, sadly not cup size). It took some getting used to, since I was a 36B/C depending, pre kids. I usually go for a snug fit too.
  • Okay - went to ***'s earlier today (closest sporting good store and besides...I needed a trip to the mall in general) and got myself a Moving Comfort bra...I think the style is Vixen.  I will put it into action Monday night when I have my boot camp class (where the majority of my bouncing takes place).  I did try it on here at home and so far seems promising, we'll just see it works in action.

  • Ugh...seriously?  I forgot how this site works!  I'm hoping it was clear that I went to D.i.c.k's.
