Anatomy Scan

So we had our anatomy scan today and we got excellent news. Both boys are very healthy with great heart beats and the brain, spine, kidneys etc all look amazing! Plus my cervix is back above 3cm and is closed and I showed no signs of contractions on the monitors yesterday!!!!!!

Baby A (Jake) - 97th percentile and weighs 1lb 2oz with a heart rate of 167

Baby B (Sam) - 84th percentile and weights 1lb with a heart rate of 143

My doctor said he hopes they stay on this growth pattern as we will likely have very good birth weights! He was very pleased with their sizes but not surprised due to my growth over the last few weeks.

Jake is our wiggle worm as always. We were telling the tech that at our NT scan Jake kept kicking Sam in the head. She said they must like her better as Jake was behaved. Well he remained behaved until it was time to measure Sam. He then flipped and started kicking Sam in the head and putting his feet in Sam's face. The tech explained although there is a membrane it is very thin so they can feel each other through it.

Sam is our content little guy. He waves and loves to play with his toes and nose. He doesn't really flip much and is very happy in his position. He is my calm little one. He loves to reach for the u/s wand as she pushes down. He seemed to be very aware of us pushing and moving

All in all it was amazing! They made us a video that shows all 20 fingers and toes plus each babies personality. They are both transverse with Jake laying low and Sam way up below my ribs. We now move to appointments every two weeks until 30 weeks and then we evaluate from there if we need to move more frequent.
