So my mom purchased our convertible car seat off our registry a month or so ago (whooooooo!!) -- When she bought the seat it was $189 ... it is showing on our registry as purchased and the price listed next to it is $150.
So it made me start to think...what happens if someone purchases an item off our registry for, say, $100. If we then return it (let's just say we got duplicate items), and the price they have it when we return it is $80, does that mean we will only get $80 in store credit? and the store pockets the difference?
Or do they actually keep track of what the person purchased it for to give us that amount as store credit?
It seems kinda shady if they can just lower the price and only give us that amount and then pocket the difference, no?
ETA: I'm not wondering about getting more than the person paid for an item. What I am wondering is if someone legit purchases an item for $100 (no coupons or discounts) and then when I go to return the item they have it priced at $80 ... I will only get $80 credit even though the person actually paid $100 for it (thus, the store pockets $20?)????
