We have been EBF and DD gets BM in 3 bottles at daycare during the day. Lately she has starting leaving 1oz in her last bottle (they are all 4oz) so I am considering switching to a 3oz bottle midday and having them serve it in a sippy with her lunch. They have assured me they will finish it in a bottle if she doesn't drink the whole sippy. I'm curious how you went about introducing the sippy, if you used BM in it and how it went. I currently have a freezer full of BM so I don't plan to wean or switch to formula or cow's milk any time soon. DD is 9 months.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

We never used a sippy, we use a straw cup, but the same should hold true:
At 11 months my son transitioned into the older baby room at daycare. They'd prefer all the babies to be off bottle in that room, so we started sending him in with all his breastmilk in his strawcups. (He already used those for water, and did really well with them).
The first day I got an email from his teacher saying that he fussed a bit at having the milk in a straw cup, but she told him "We're a big boy now, and we drink our milk from this cup" and he finished the whole thing.
The second day, he refused to drink from the straw cup for his second "bottle" and so the DCP used the backup bottle she had.
The third day, and every day since, he's had his milk exclusively from the straw cup. It's been about a month.
