If Stripping Membranes Didn't Work for You...

If you had your membranes stripped, and it didn't work, did you feel anything afterwards?  

I had it done with DS, and I had cramping, lots of discharge, bloody show, and went into labor within 24 hours.  I just had it done today with this pregnancy, and I'm wondering what, if anything, will or could happen if it's not going to work.  I mean, do you always get cramping, increased BH, discharge, or whatever, even if it's not going to lead to labor?  Or, if it's not going to work, will I basically feel the same as I would after a regular internal?

 I know there probably isn't a one size fits all answer, but I'm just curious what other people's experiences have been.

    I had mine stripped Wednesday evening.  I had cramping, lots of spotting, and some contractions that night, and now nothing.  I have been loosing my mucus plug since then, but alas, no labor.

    With DD I had it done at 39 and 40wks.  Neither worked.  I did have some bloody show and increased discharge both times.  My contractions had started at 34wks and I didn't notice an increase.

    I had it done last week and didn't really notice a change.  I had some bloody show but DH was also home so we were having sex which also could have helped things along.

    Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!

    I had it done 3 times (@ 37, 38 and 39 weeks) w/DS2 and afterwards had cramping. With DS1 I never had it done. Both of them were born the day before their due dates! I had it done at my 37 week appt, and then declined after that. This also led to cramping and some spotting, but that was it. I dont think it works for me.

    I had mine stripped on Tuesday at my apt the day before my EDD. I had some cramping and discharge that night but Wednesday morning I had nothing and still have nothing going on 2 days past my due date.  I hope it works for you.
