I am always curious if Team Green with be Team Blue or Team Pink with their second....or if they will be Team Green again.
Definitely Team Green again!!! I would be so mad if I found out now. With Olivia I was totally on board with team green but I was so curious all the time. This time I vehemently do not want to know. I loved the surprise at the end!
We go for our anatomy scan in like a week or 2 so hopefully nothing gets leaked! I've had to stop looking at people's ultrasound boy/girl pictures on the BMB because I don't want to get any ideas.
You are so strong! I couldn't have done it once, let alone twice! How exciting for you!!
I always said *if* we had a 3rd we would be team green since we have 1 of each now. We are done, but if we did have a 3rd, I'd try my hardest to be TG.
Hahaha well thanks. I think it helped that the first time around we really didn't care what the sex was. I sorta wanted a boy and DH wanted a girl. Now that its #2, I know DH wants a boy but I kinda want another girl but either way we'll be totally thrilled. I had someone tell me that if you really want one or another you should find out because you wouldn't want to feel disappointed and I think this is good advice. We really don't care so it's been much easier to not know.
That is awesome! We were team green with both and I am so happy we were. It was an amazing thing to see DH cry when he told me "It's a girl!!".
On this note, just to play devil's advocate, while I ultimately didn't care, I really wanted a girl and a boy. With #2, we decided to be team green BECAUSE of this. I felt that if I found out then I would have 20 weeks to think about it. If we didn't find out and #2 had been a boy, it's impossible to be disappointed with a healthy baby in the delivery room. That was my take, at least.
After Gator was born and we were out of recovery, SO was holding her and said "I would do that all over again in a heartbeat!!" I though he was talking about labor and delivery so I gave him the side eye and said..."ummm, what?!" And he said "being Team Green! That was so awesome!!" Even though our delivery didn't go as planned, my doctor was good about letting SO peek over the curtain and announce the sex. Even my doctor didn't know the sex because the ultrasound tech didn't put it on my chart. And I have Kaiser so you usually get whatever doctor is working their rounds at the time. It just happened that my doctor was working, so she got the surprise right along with us. Apparently the nurses were all taking bets on the sex, even the nurses in the other Labor and Delivery wings of the hospital. So being wheeled out of the recovery room, the nurse yelled to another nurse "GIRL!" And I heard "YESSSS!" From several of the nurses and them giving each other high fives. Our nurse said it is very rare they have patients that don't know the sex so they get excited and place bets and then wait to see who the winners are. I thought it was funny. We didn't care about the sex so we didn't find out. And I thought I was pregnant with a boy the whole time.....actually only three people out of all of my friends and family and FB people....guessed girl. Everyone else said boy.
My best friends cousin was Team Green with the first and wanted to be Team Green wi the second but the tech accidentally forgot to freeze the screen and they saw it was a boy. They were disappointed they knew before delivery day. I was going to ask her what it was like being Team Green compared to Team Blue.
That's awesome ebp913, if you guys can hold out for team green, go for it!
