recommend a car for me!

We are buyingna new car this weekend. I have an 01 Pontiac grand am and its sonlow to the ground a pain to install a car seat in and hard to get ds in and out of the back. We are looking for a full size carcrossover or medium sized suv. Tell me your favorite car and why! Thanks!! Oh and nothing over 25k... just bought a house so its a tight budget.

  • I had a Jeep Patriot (it's smallish) and loved it. You could probably check out a Liberty, they are a little bit bigger I think. I don't know where you live but I loved having 4 wheel drive and I know my Patriot got great gas mileage.

  • I have a GMC Acadia and I can't ever pass up the opportunity to brag on my car. I LOVE my car!

New they are super expensive, but I'm sure you could find one used for around $25K.

  • Ford flex....alll the way

They are somewhat expensive depending on what style you get etc. We bought a brand new 2011 (Had been sitting in a show room) a few months back. We got an awesome deal on it.

Its fricking huge, drives like a beauty, AND It goes VROOM! You can fit anything and everything in the car, car seat is easy to get in and out. AND you could totally own this care for years (seats 7).

  • We have a Ford Edge which I love.  It's a perfect size SUV for us (not too big, not too small), and it drives really well.  When we bought it, we were debating between the Edge and the Chevrolet Equinox.  The Equinox kind of felt like you were driving a boat, whereas the Edge was a much smoother ride.  It doesn't have a 3rd row seat, but it fits two kids' seats well on each end, and a smaller adult can still fit in the middle.

  • We have a Kia Sorrento. I like the optional third row seating and it gets decent gas mileage. We bought it almost a year ago and Kia had some pretty great financing options. Our 2012 Kia was right around $23K after negotiating.
  • We recently got a Jeep Grand Cherokee since DS#2 is on the way( we had a coupe before). I really like it but the one down size is the trunk is smaller than I thought. DS's car seat fits well and I'm hoping 2 RF seats will fit well. My dad has a Toyota Rav4 and I really like that one too, DS's car seat fit well and the trunk was so roomy! My neighbor just got a Ford Edge and it looks like a great car, I don't talk to them but I know they have 2 kids (2 under 2). We originally wanted a Nissan Murano but couldn't find a 4x4 out here in CA so we unfortunately had to pass since 4x4 is a requirement for us because we're moving back East soon.
