Making first calls : )

Ok so this is a very small thing to get excited about but I made my first "official" adoption-related phone call.  Originally we were going to wait until June, but out of nowhere my DH asked me if I wanted to get the ball rolling now since we are definitely decided on adoption from foster care.  

I called Adopt Us Kids because their site said they could give a list of public and private agencies for your state.  They took my contact info and said they'll have someone contact me from our state.  That was Tuesday, I figure I'll give it a week then just contact the state DSS if I don't hear anything.

So yeah - nothing major but I'm still excited to be on our way!!

    That's exciting! I remember when we actually started emailing agencies and attending info sessions it suddenly seemed more real. Congrats on starting the process!

    Thanks everyone!!  I love this board, it's so nice to learn from each other I feel like I'm so much more prepared just knowing what others on here have gone through.

    Also, on an unrelated note, coriet I LOVE your profile pic, I love Tangled, it's such a cute movie! Big Smile
