Anyone making/use in the past frozen pads (Padsicles!)

"Anyone making/use in the past frozen pads (Padsicles!)"

I keep reading everywhere that I should be making batches of frozen pads with witch hazel and aloe and storing them in my freezer....Has anyone actually done this and more importantly, used them when they got home?

If so, where did you get the supplies? Just CVS?

I used the dermoplast spray and then used a diaper with ice in it. You can put the ice in the net of the swaddlers diapers. This is what they got for me at the hopital, and it worked like a charm. You could also just soak them and then put them in the freezer with the witch hazel and aloe. The spray is great though.

With DS1 I had an episiotomy. I did not use "padcicles", but wish I would have. I just went through Tucks like water.

With DS2 I only had a small tear so, only needed relief for the 1st day. The L&D nurse made me ice diapers...NB sized diaper with some water poured in it & then frozen. Just open up like you're putting it on baby, but instead use it like a pad. Awesome relief.

I have made them but have not used them yet seeing as my LO is not here yet. I used the biggest pads I could find and poured witch hazel on them, stuck them in ziplock bags and put them in the freezer. You can find witch hazel at any pharmacy. I got mine at wal-mart.
