How long after did your profile go live?

We are scheduled to wrap up our home study on November 5th with the final visit being in our home. It just got bumped up 2 weeks early yesterday.

How long after your final home study visit did it take for your profile to become active? I'm just looking for average wait times. Of course I did just email our SW this question, but I'm curious about other people's experiences too.

PS I'm totally freaking the heck out that I have so much to do within these next 3ish weeks. And then I know I'm going to be a basketcase when it's all over and we're sitting here waiting. Deep breaths.

Our homestudy visit was Dec. 16th, our draft homestudy got to us on Jan. 3rd for edits, and we went live on Jan. 12. So that is just about 4 weeks - including the Christmas and New Years holidays.

I think it would have probably been 3 weeks if not for the holidays and people on vacation.

I am still in the pre-homestudy phase, but I have asked questions upon questions, and this is roughly what I have got:

For us, they waited for all our initial paperwork and checks to come back. Once they came back, they scheduled our homestudy visits, which will be on October 15th, 23rd, and 30th. They ask we give them a week after it is completed to write it up and get it approved. After that it is kinda dependent on us, whenever we get our profile book turned in and our required trainings done, we will be active. Most couples I guess will do the trainings and profile book AFTER the homestudy is approved, we have been working on them while we were waiting the 6-8 weeks for our backround check to come in. They say from start to finish most couples go from the beginning to active in 4 months, at this rate it will be around 3 for us.

3 months. Here's the breakdown:

Our HS visit was mid-September. Our SW was swamped and didn't get the report written until mid-October. After that we scheduled a "profile class" with her and went over paper and video profiles (our agency has families do both) to go over what to do and not to do. Then we had to schedule a time with a vendor to do the video. Our profile went live mid-December.

Our homestudy was completed at the end of February. Our profile went live in late April. It took a while for us to get the pictures gathered for our profile.

After our HS was completed it took us about 2 months to complete our profile. We went back and forth with our lawyer for about 2 weeks on what to include. We didn't start "advertising" until a month later. GL.
