Logan Michael (birth story and slight vent)

I was due Sunday the 7th, went to the doctor on the 8th and was 4cm dilated and 100% effaced according to the NP. Went to work thinking I would be meeting my little boy yesterday when I had scheduled an induction. I started having contractions at work that were somewhat regular, but since I was already that dilated was sent to the hospital. 

Got the the hospital and things came to a stop. Rather than send me home they decided to induce Tues. morning. The nurse advised me to get an epidural when my water was broken since I was told the baby was measuring 8lb 14oz on ultrasound. I took her advice and was VERY glad I did. My water was broken around 10 and the Pitocin was started around 11. I labored until about 2 and started pushing. Logan Michael was born at 3:22 weighing EXACTLY what the ultrasound tech told me and measured 21". The doctor let me tear rather than doing an episiotomy. Needless to say I am still in a boat load of pain.

Now for a little vent. Why is it that I got NO rest in the hospital?!? I thought I would get at least a little, but even when the baby was in the nursery my room seemed to have a revolving door and it wasn't visitors it was staff. I had them bring him out for feedings the first night, but even then no rest. If it wasn't my nurse it was someone from the nursery and if it wasn't either of them it was other hospital staff. I've been crying since we got home from pain and just being exhausted.

Looking at my perfect little man makes each and every part SO worth it. I will post pics soon.
