When did you no longer hurt? I had a second degree tear, but a fair amount of tearing internally. The internal stitches are the ones that hurt. If I do too much (I.e. go grocery shopping or straighten up the house a bit) the hurt like heck. Really it doesn't take much to make me sore.
How long pp did you hurt???

2.0 is on the way! EDD: 2/24/15
I have a third degree tear and internal tear. I find that if I walk or stand up for long periods of time (which aren't really that long), I get really sore and need to lie down or sit.
It's been 3.5 weeks.

I had a 2nd degree tear & episiotomy last time & a small episiotomy this time, too.
I'm 3 weeks pp & still hurting when I do too much - which is really everyday b/c I'm also dealing with DS. When it's really bad, I take 3 Advil at once, per day, per my OB's instruction.
At right around a week I ended up going to the doctor because my stitches were really really painful. I had a very minor interior tear, but got a bunch of stitches to make sure it healed well.
My doctor suggested I take several sitz baths/baths a day and then put A&D ointment on after them and after using peribottle. It helped so much I didn't have to use numbing stuff nearly as often. I did that for several weeks until the pain subsided...stopping the baths and all just in the past week or so. Granted, "several baths a day" meant 2 tops for me considering I have a toddler who would get in WITH me...which isn't exactly what I wanted.
I think this is somewhat abnormal, but I still have stitches at 6w pp. I don't have my appt until DD's 2mo appt so I had DH check to see how everything looked to decide whether or not to attempt sex, and he found stitches. Sooo that's a no on the sex department.
Yeah, I'm dreading this...
I don't remember exactly when they stopped hurting, but I'm still really sensitive from my tears even though they healed up weeks ago. Especially the internal ones!
I would say that by 3 weeks actual pain/itching/discomfort was generally gone though.
