Naturepedic Organic Mattress

Does anybody have one of these? I'm curious to hear how others like it, and if they have any regrets purchasing it. It's more than double the cost of the crib so I want to make sure it's worth it.If you do have one, what style did you choose? Was it worth the investment? We're pretty set on getting the Graco Lauren crib but nervous about the mattress fitting nice and snug. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Whoa! I Googled it...$260 for a crib mattress? I think you can get a perfectly good crib mattress for much cheaper. Unless you are absolutely set on organic. I think that would be the only reason to pay that much.

I know! The price is steep :(I went through a major cancer diagnosis at a young age and it really opened my eyes to carcinogens. I hate knowing there is formaldehyde amongst many other chemicals in all of these mattresses. I wouldn't entertain it if it couldn't be used as a toddler mattress as well, which it looks like it does. We are pretty set on organic for the mattress since LO will be spending so much time in the crib. If it was something they only used here or there I'd feel less worried about it.

I haven't seen this mattress mentioned before but click here to read the amazon reviews. It has a high rating, 4.5 stars, so I think it is an excellent mattress. If it is worth it to you - get it. Any crib mattress can be used as a toddler mattress.

I've never used it, because I don't have any kids yet, but I did buy it for my sister and she LOVES it. It was big and thick and very good quality. I will probably be buying two of them when it's time.

Naturepedic is one of the best there is. That and Nook are the top mattresses. I think it's worth it and if Organic is important to you, you will be happy with it.

Take a look at the Lullaby Earth crib mattress which retails for 159 for 1sided or 199 for 2sided. Lullaby Earth is made by Naturepedic and has all of the same materials with the exception of organic cotton. the entire lullaby earth mattress is made of plastic, inside and out. there's nothing wrong with it. it's the same material that the outside of the waterproof naturepedics are, but it is plastic (food grade polyethylene to be exact). that is actually what i preferred more about nook but i still think they are all good.

We just got their basic Organic Cotton Innerspring mattress. It was more than our Jenny Lind crib, but worth it to me to know our baby wouldn't be breathing in all that junk! AND Naturepedic is based right near our hometown, outside of Cleveland, Ohio. We just picked up the mattress from the warehouse. Gotta love supporting local business!
