Bumping from L and D...UPDATED

Sigh. Went in for my regular appt today and my cervix has shortened slightly, down to a 2 from a 2.5, also funneling slightly toward the stitch. My Dr is not worried but sent me to the NST area for monitoring, as a precaution. 1.5 hours later, seeing a few contrax, sent me to L and D so here I sit.

I'm not worried so much as frustrated. I KNOW I'm not in PTL. And yes, if you recline me on my back and don't let me eat for half a day, I will contract!! I'm trying to just relax and let it go, it is what it is. Dr on duty thinks they will just watch me for a few hours then let me go. She doesn't even think I will need meds for the contrax, more likely it's just an irritable ute thing.

Today is not my day. Got a call from the preschool while being monitored that DD was pushed off the play structure in the playground and to "keep an eye on her" for a concussion. Now how am I supposed to do that? Then MIL showed up at our house to be our bedrest helper but we were at the hospital, so she set the alarm off and the cops came.

The good news is I finally got to eat! And DD seems fine. And DH is on his way for moral support. Boo for today.

UPDATE: I'm going home! Having minor contractions but that is nothing new. Not even enough to justify any interventions and they are pretty confident I'm in tune w my body at this point enough to know if they are picking up or getting worse. Yay! So happy I don't have to stay there. Thx for the T and P!

    So sorry that is all going on!  (But so glad it is not PTL!)

    Thankfully the day is almost over. Hope everything turns out ok and you get to go home and that your son is ok after the bump!

    Glad to see you're going home and everything's okay.  Bake that baby for a few more weeks a least.

    What a horrible day! :-( I hope everything is ok with your DD - the same thing happened to our godson the other week and he did end up with a concussion, but very minor and other than a bit of vomiting, no side effects.

    And I can't believe you're 30 weeks already! How exciting!!
