Hi all -
I'm looking for a lifting buddy. I would say that I'm intermediate when it comes to knowledge of lifting.. and I really enjoy doing it with someone. Keeps me motivated and on track I guess. (keeps it from getting boring too)
I was hoping to find someone that is interested in doing it during the day and close to where I live, I go to Highland Parks Lifetime fitness but I could travel to Bloomington's.
Just throwing it out there.. :-)
Re: Gym Buddy...
There are a lot of great power gyms in the area that you can get linked up with people. The best thing is even going in for a day pass and talking to the right people who know where others are training out of. Granted, they don't have the bells & whistles of a Lifetime Fitness, but they are the right environment for training/lifting.
I'd highly recommend talking to Scott at SouthSide Bully (ssbgym.com). If you can swing it, training there is an awesome environment. It's not a fancy gym, but they're one of the best equiped for lifting and you never have to worry about a spotter because Scott will do it if no one else is around (His crew did my lift offs in competitions when I didn't have any training partner to go with me)..
Los Campeones Gym is another place to check out. I know there's a pretty decent size group of lifters there.
The Press Gym is another.
