hey ladies i posted earlier this week but hsve a few more quwstions...

my appt for my u/s to look at my follicles on day 3 or my menstrul! will i start meds soon after this u/s.? i know all doc and protocals are diff. but just looking for other ppls steps.

    IUI #1 (w/clomid)-9/5/11-BFN ; IUI #2 (w/clomid)-10/5/11 - BFP - 11/1/12-No sac seen; 11/2/11 and 11/9/11-Methotrexate 
    IVF #1- ER 2/2; ET 2/5;-Two 8 cell embryos transfered = BFFN
    Surprise BFP - 5/7/12
    U/S on 6/8/12 - H/B at 128 BPM; U/S on 6/14/12 @ 9wks-No H/B-D&C on 6/17/12
    IVF 2.0- ER 10/17; ET 10/20-One 12 cell, one 10 cell and one 8 cell embryo transfered
    BFP!   11/16/12 U/S- Two nuggets with perfect heartbeats! EDD 7/10/13

    Not quite sure what you're asking, but my last cycle went like this: BCPs for 3 weeks, stopped them got a period.  Did baseline u/s & labs the date they gave me (dont think it was cd3) and then started my stims the next day. 
    "Everything will be alright in the end. So if it's not alright, it is not yet the end."
    Me:29 DH:29  TTC since 1/11 Dx: unexplained IF/early DOR/immune issues 
    Feb'12- July'12-testing(all clear minus slight arcuate ute), 3 IUI with clomid all BFN
    8/30IVF#1 Antagonist protocol- ER 9/11-8R, 7M, 5F. 
    ET 9/14 2 embies transferred. 1 10cell Grade 4, 1 8cell Grade 4. No frosties. BFN
    IVF#2 Antagonist protocol plus baby aspirin- ER 12/5-16R, 12M, 8F!
    ET 12/10 5dt! 1 fully expanded blast & 1 early blast. No frosties. BFN
    3/13 hysteroscopy & polypectomy, Consulted w Dr. Kwak-Kim.  
    DX: High NK cells, cytokines, DHEAs& PAI1;  hypothyroid, +APA, restricted bloodflow
    7/13 IVF#3 Long lupron protocol with PIO, Crinone, Prometrium, and vivelle
    (plus synthroid, metformin, baby asa, metanx, PNV, Vit E, D, calcium, fish oil, CoQ10, IVIg infusions and lovenox per Dr. Kwak-kim)
    ER 7/19 14R, 11M, 9F(4 natural fert, 5 with ICSI)
    ET 5dt 7/24 2 fully expanded blasts.  SURPRISE 3 FROSTIES!!!
    Beta #1 8/2 335!!!! Beta #2 829!!!  1st u/s 8/14 showed TWINS!!!!!

    sorry for the confusion. My doctor will do an ultrasound on cd3 or cd4 to see the immature follicles and will do blood work.  after that will i soon start all the shots and things of that nature. or does it take awhile before i start that?

     Are you still in the preliminary stage of testing before any treatment?  Or have you actually started an IVF cycle?

    For me, the preliminary stage took about 2 months total of testing and waiting for test results etc. and now I'm in my first IVF cycle.


    My RE is not using BCP for me so I start Lupron on CD21, and will do 2 weeks of Lupron shots, approximately 10 days of stims depending on how I respond and HcG 36 hours before ER then ET (either 3 or 5 days post ER), so approximately 4 weeks of injections and then waiting the 10 or so days for pregnancy test. Your protocol will depend on your doctor and your medical history.

    I would say probably the pre stuff bc my first appt was oct 4 did blood work a regular u/s to look at the one ovary I have and uterus to make sure everything was working like it should and healthy! I guess I was just so over welled with everything I forgot to ask alot! So... But did say with in the next 34 weeks I would be comig abou 1/2 dozen times...

    These are questions you need to ask your doctor or nurse.  Just call or email and ask for an estimated timeline or calendar of your ivf cycle and when you will begin injections.  Without knowing your protocol and what other pretesting you still need to complete, there's no way we can give you the answer.
    Married 8/2008. IVF with PGD March 2013.
    3/22 ER: 25R, 20M, 15F. 9 genetically normal, and 3 survived to Day 5
    3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
    4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!
    PPROM at 31w, delivery at 32 weeks of two beautiful girls

    Ditto this.  It really depends on what your RE finds and what tests he/she wants to do before starting your treatment. Call tomorrow and ask for an estimated timeline, what tests they want to do on you and your DH before starting treatment, etc.  A good RE/nurse should take the time to answer any and all questions you have or schedule a time to go over everything.  And take notes any time you talk to your doctor or nurse.  I take a notebook with me to every appointment with questions I've thought of to ask, and to take any notes about the next steps we're taking.

    Thank you all for the relies and suggestions! I go oct 23 for my cd 3 and they will do a test for my FSH leavles an E2 levels. And my immature follicles... So I will call tomorrow or Monday! And i will def take a note book from now on!!

    Good im in the right place beacuse i have a few questions myself. I found a dr in network for my insurance. I went to my 1st appt yesterday (just a day out of my period) the dr asked if i was ready to start now i said yesBig Smile. The office drew my blood, gave me bcp (birth control pills) and scheduled me for an u/s (ultrasound) for next friday morning. i got a call today from the dr office letting me know that my blood test results look great.  Its all moving so fast I havent had time to process everything. The funny part is that i will have my consultation the day before my ultrasound but im already headed down my ivf journey. My doctor said i should be at transfer/prego stage by thanksgiving. Is it supposed to go this fast?Indifferent
