We told our teenager last night

Last night we shared the news with our oldest, he is almost 18. With 2 losses this year we were very cautious about sharing the news, we are 12 weeks today and feeling a lot more confident. He was SO excited!! His first question however , when we showed him the ultrasound, was " where's the penis?!" he said it BETTER be a boy!!!

your lucky, our 12 year old wants nothing to do with the baby and keeps whining about "a new someone to mess up his stuff." Although 12 and 18 are way different developmentally, but I'm still jealous, lol.

My DH has an almost 13 year old. She has been in my life since she was 8 and we are very close. We told her at 12 weeks and she was so happy she almost jumped outta her skin. Her moms husband has 3 kids, so she has 3 stepsiblings. She said " finally I'll have a REAL brother or sister". She jupmed up and down and hugged me. Shes the sweetest little girl ever.

Hopefully he will change his mind!!! 12 is a goofy age for boys anyway, I think he'll come around. My son just thinks its hilarious to use his excellent math skills....like, mom you know how old the baby will be when I graduate from college? just starting kindergarten. Or , mom when the baby graduates high school I'll be like 36!
