What does brie taste like?

I've never had it and I don't know why because I LOVE cheese...almost all cheese.

I feel kind of Embarrassed for not knowing.

    First time I had Brie was at inlaws for a holiday. Think it was covered in cranberries or something, I forget... Mmm so good.

    Another rind hater here...it tastes so bitter and funky- the inside isn't too bad.  I'm not a huge brie fan, honestly.  My family always has those brie cheese appetizers at the holidays and I try it every time, and spit it out like a dope.  Kind of like candy corn.  You always hope it will taste good, knowing it won't, yet you try it every time it's put in front of you.

    I mean, it's not my favorite part, but if you just slice the brie and get even amounts, you don't even notice it.

  • Brie is a mild, inoffensive, low key kinda cheese, nothing to write home about. A good Brie can be delicious, though still mild, but more often than not the typical supermarket variety is boring at best. When I feel like a soft, easy going cheese, I get a good Brie, but Camembert is better.

    I know I'm an effing snob, so please be original when you bash me about my cheese preferences.
  • If you don't care for the rind, just leave it on YOUR plate.  Don't scoop out the innards on the serving plate.  That's just rude.
