1) Why is the NHL toying with us? I'm not optimistic about hockey this year.
2) If there is no season and the Sharks aren't in Vancouver in December, when would you recommend a trip North? If hockey wasn't on the table, would you recommend that people visit in the winter or summer?
Re: Joolz!!!!!
Omg I just took up CMonkey's thread to discuss this SAME THING! We are totally mind melding today.
I am also not optimistic. My elevator news says they are sitting down again today but I don't buy that anything will happen before Christmas, sniffle. I still bought G a Canucks jersey for his birthday, though. It is so cute.
Do you guys ski? If so, winter is awesome. It is really rainy in the city, but still lovely. February actually tends to be really sunny here for some reason (remember the Olympics?) so that's a good winter option. Even still, the delicious food and sightseeing things are still good, not as great as sunny summer, but good in the winter. It rarely snows in the city itself.
Otherwise summer is the bomb, but it usually doesn't reliably start till late July or early August. It is gorgeous here then, though, and there's lots to do in the city.
