Well, Ashton decided he couldn't wait til his late november C-section was scheduled to make his debut. He arrived Wed Oct 10th at 7:36am via emergency c/s. He weighed in at a whopping 5lbs 10oz at 32w3d. He is adorable. Blonde hair, even blonder than Carter was at birth.
Ashton is on a c-papp to help his breathing by keeping his lungs inflated, but he is not receiving any oxygen, so he is breathing on his own. He in on a sugar/water iv as needed because his blood sugars have been a bit wacky. He is taking food via the mouth (about 3ml every 3 hrs). I am working at pumping every 3 hrs to get some milk for him, but it's slow going, although the colestrum is starting to come now.
Mom is in a fair bit of pain and since I am allergic to codeine, I am on Percocet every 4hrs and morphine as needed. It is definitely much easier to move about today than yesterday. The drugs make me very tired though, so I have to rest alot.
I'll post a full birth story when I get a chance. Just wanted to thank you all for your T&P and ask for continued prayers for Ashton to continue to grow and improve so he can get out of this nicu soon and transferred to the nicu at home, if he can't come home directly. Thanks again ladies!

Congrats! Yeah, c-section hurts....after the first 5-7 days, the pain should diminish a lot, but it will take 6-8 weeks before it's not so sensitive. Glad to hear Ashton is doing well. KUP!

Congrats on the arrival of Baby Ashton! I will certainly pray for both of you!
Hopimg his stay in NICU is short and that you are out of pain soon.
He missed my birthday by one day! I'm the 11th! Libra babies are notoriously mild mannered and easy going in nature......hope this is the case for you!
Keep us posted on both his and your progress!
