We are going to a Halloween party next weekend so I need to pick something. I cannot decide b/c I've been browsing online and the baby costumes are all so cute! I'm afraid DS will hate something to go on his head. I also need something that's not so puffy that it won't fit in the carseat. What are you all getting?
Re: What's your LO going to be for Halloween?
DD is going as Olivia. I'm a fan of comfort and I'm certain she won't keep anything on her head. She's wearing some black and white striped leggings, a red sailor dress (with long sleeve black and white striped tee shirt underneath if it is cold) and her hair will be in pig tails.

Audrey is going as a pop star, and Violet as a penguin. We told Oliver jokingly he would have to go as something that started with "P." Audrey said he should goes as poop. Nice.
This is amazing.

J will be a dragon, I tried to find the most comfortable costume, this is basically a pullover vest that feels like a teddy bear material (plush?). He can just wear sweats and a sweatshirt underneath.

Cora is going as this:
(it is not her in the pic, but I think it looks eerily like her, maybe her doppelganger).
The little girl on the package for my DD's costume looks just like her as well. I think it's part of the reason we chose it !

I borrowed a flower pot costume from my cousin - it is pretty cute but DD hated it when I put it on her.
Mrs.Mo I am tempted to buy the owl costume off of you - I love owls! DD has an owl towel from PBK and it is just so cute, and I got her an owl winter hat for this year.
We got DS this costume but the more I look online the more disappointed I am in our selection. Our local store did not have a very good selection in toddler sizes and very few were in the 12-18 mo range.
I found this toddler costume online and I think it is very creepy but kind of funny too! i really wouldn't want my baby to look like Gene Simmons.
Layla is going to be a ladybug, too.
I originally got the same costume as KuJayhawkgirl, but it is a 3T, I think it's going to be too big. At a trash & treasure sale I found this one for $2.... she has a ladybug outfit she'll wear under it to keep warm:
Your not supposed to put a baby in a jacket or anything puffy like a costume while strapped in a carseat so my guess it is will have to come off anyway. Unless it is something thin like the lady bug costumes.
Since Gator's nickname is Gator, she was going as a gator. But she only fits in 12mo clothes yet they ran so small she had to wear a 2T to 4T size. I ordered and it arrived without the feet. It was the last one the company had. So I am sending it back...I was so disappointed. But she hated the head piece anyway. Now she is going as Tinkerbell so she can use the costume again when we go to Disneyland a few weeks later.

We were "this close" to going to (and taking DD) a Kiss concert this summer. If we went, we would have dressed DD up. The last one we went to, there were a ton of kids dressed up and the did a slideshow of all the ones they (the promoters) saw on stage before the show.

DD is going to our big Halloween event as Minnie Mouse (although I do not think she will keep the ears on, so I don;t know what people will think she is)
She also has a Cinderella outfit to wear to another Halloween event I am going to take her to.

When he goes out with us, LBB is going to go as Toby from Labrynth and DH and I are going as Jareth and Sarah.
My SIL got him this for his birthday though, so he'll probably wear this to school on halloween.
(This is obviously not LBB in the picture)
Lily will be an elephant. I couldn't resist this costume from Old Navy (I collect elephants, so it seemed only fitting), even though it cost far more than I've spent on any other clothing for her including her flower girl dress for my brother's wedding

I posted here a while about about my SIL who handed down a bunch of clothes to E and loves to point it out every time I dress her in one of "SIL's" outfits. SHe handed down a super cute dinosaur costume but I was determined to make it into something else so we bought her some fairy wings on Etsy and she's going to be a dragon.
Minus the head (she won't wear it), plus pink wings.

LOVE that idea!
Reese will be minnie mouse.

I love having a family costume! We are going as s'mores:

SD is all about it, too. We are having them made today, since I am inept in the sewing department.
