I wanted to thank all of your for your support, encouragement, and most of all, prayers. Your posts meant so much to me during this difficult time. I had my CVS on Monday, and a more experienced and senior perinatologist conducted my ultrasound and thought the NT measurement was a 4.0 (!!) when I had two previous measurements of 4.4 and 4.5. He also thought it was a huge decrease in just two days and was good news. We had FISH testing done for the trisomies, and after 48 hours of nerve wracking anxiety, we were so joyful to receive that phone call that we were having a baby girl who is negative for trisomies 21, 18, and 13! I can't put into words the relief and joy we felt. We are so grateful to have passed the first big hurdle. The rest of the chromosomal studies come back in a week, we have our fetal ECHO in three weeks, and our little girl will be closely monitored. However, this perinatologist was hopeful that if the CVS was normal, our baby would most likely be ok. I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers greatly!

I have been following your posts and praying for a good outcome! I am so very happy to read this! I can only imagine the overwhelming joy you felt when you got the news. May the rest of your pregnancy be uneventful.
Thank you so much for posting this. My NT was noticed at a routine scan that I had at my regular ob, they didn't tell me the size but said it was twice normal and sent me to MFM. I went yesterday at and it measured 4.2mm. I am having CVS on Friday and the doc was not optimistic at all. I am trying so hard to stay positive but the truth is I am failing at it. I am continually preparing for the worst, I assume this is because of the lousy lousy luck I have had with pregnancies. Anyway, your story gives me hope which I need so badly and I am going to try and focus on it.
Congratulations on your baby girl, I hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful and wonderful.
