  Ours are plastic and have been through two kids, so we're tossing them as soon as DD2 is done with them (down to 1 a day right now). We might still have a third, but we'll buy new bottles then.

  If we had used glass, I would try selling or donating them. If a thrift store won't take them, you could try a pregnancy counseling center or women's shelter, or if you are church members ask if anyone there knows of someone who could use them.

  You could try calling a women's shelter to see if they would be interested- I'm not sure if they can take used ones or not....

  Take them to a women's shelter. If you can't locate one you could probably call your local Salvation Army for more info or your local homeless shelter.

  Thanks everyone- I didn't think of shelters- I'll see if they'll take it.  If not, I'll see if anyone wants them for free.

  reusing bottles seems sort of nasty, I threw mine out and bought new ones when DS came.

  We've used a couple different types of bottles (Medela, Dr.Browns-4oz and 8oz and now Avent). I've either given them to a family member with a younger baby or tossed them as we've moved on. My plan is to have DD off of the bottle within a month or so and will probably toss the rest of her Avent bottles. They went through DS first and are starting to look pretty worn.
