My sister is planning my shower and is doing a vintage, Parisian Circus theme which I think will be super cute. She's very stylish so I can't wait to see what she comes up with for decor! Anyone else know what their theme will be if there is one?
I *think* (based on my SILs' pinterest boards and a couple other clues) that the theme is bees, playing on the "what will the baby BEE"/team green aspect and of course the inevitablity of lots of yellow . I think it's really cute!
Mine didn't really have a theme but my mom got purple, green & giraffe print decorations which was really cute. I'm not a pink person and our wedding colors were purple & green and the first item I bought LO was a giraffe before I knew whether we were having a girl or boy. The decorations worked out well.
I think mine is a storybook theme and instead of cards everyone is being asked to give their favorite kids' book with something written to the LO inside the cover.

DH's work Shower: "daddy is a math guy, lets all buy stuff for the geek baby" Friends shower: surprise theme..."your mom isn't coming right?" so who knows what those girls came up with Family shower: turtles, which is the Nursery theme.
...I think it just hit me I'm having three showers...
Mine is a "a little pumpkin is on the way" theme:)
mine too! My mom is throwing my shower and she has fell in love with the pumpkin theme. I think it's super cute

Same here! My mom is also doing purple and green (no giraffes, though). I think there might be birds involved...just because we both like birds.
BFF, a few other friends and my mom are hosting so I have no idea about theme or anything else. I believe one of my friend is using some recycled decor items and I'm fully fine with that. They are having it at my house so I figure they will probably keep it pretty simple for easy clean up. I doubt they will want to go too crazy on decor. My mom is handling the cake and has asked me what I would like but again I'll probably keep it very simple.
I thought the fall theme was super cute, but the Grandmas (they are throwing the shower) decided to keep it with the theme of our nursery, which is dinosaurs.

We're doing a vintage circus theme too!!! My sister is getting really into it and I think it is a super fun idea.
My mom said she is trying to incorperate our nursery "theme" which is the bedding set "peek-a-boo monsters". She said she found some balloons, and wants to use the fitted crib sheet as a table cloth, but other than that I think it will just be a bunch of blue, green, and brown - she is pretty creative though, so I am excited to see what she figures out.
the invites are super cute though, and it involved a clothes line, and my sister is making my cake...she had toyed with the idea of making the cake match the invites, but i'm not sure (and plus the invites were so cute bc my mom did an actual clothes line of baby clothes for my sister's shower, and i hope she does for me too!)
she also toyed with the idea of matching the bedding, which is finding nemo....
my mom asked if i wanted a theme, and i said no, but it could either be disney related, or just yellow and green...who knows...i can't wait to find out though! my mom and mil are throwing it, but i know my sister will heavily influence things...she knows me very well
Your shower's theme sounds so cute! Our shower is a little different and will be Ohio State themed. Both DH and I are alumni and big football fans and the shower so happens to fall on the same time and date of the big rivalry game. Plus we're having a boy so it fits. And the invitations are so cute!
oooh! Are you going to have buckeyes (the edible chocolate and peanut butter kind)? I am soooo jealous.
I just got to see the invites to my shower for next month. They are bumble bee themed. "Mommy to bee". I think it's pretty cute. Originally I wanted to be team green, but dh wanted to know so we did. This would be a cute theme for team green too. I'm excited! My mom even showed me the favors...honeycomb honey servers.

Nursery Rhymes with a touch of snowflakes (just like we are doing in the nursery)!
In out nursery the main *theme* is nursery rhymes (though it's just more of a color theme with a touch of nursery rhymes in the bedding/curtains). Then I'm doing a wall that is dedicated to snowflakes... It is going to be very tasteful and go well with the green/yellow/white color theme throughout the room. (Snowflakes have a special meaning to us now with this pregnancy and our LO is known to all as Snowflake until birth.)

I want to say the theme is going to be Jungle. It's the theme for the Baby's room, so that's what I'm assuming they'll do for the shower. With brown, pink, and green colors (Baby is a girl! )
But then I'm not even allowed to see decorations or be there when they set up, so who knows! haha

My mom and MIL are throwing the party. They refuse to tell me anything about it although my mom did mention I'll love the theme. Should be interesting...

Mine is everything baby. Mostly toys. Colored rubber duckies, stuffed animals, I'm hoping to find some old fashioned rattles, and giant baby blocks made out of boxes and scrapbook paper. Lots of medallions, banners, and pinwheels. I love pinterest!! I thought for centerpieces We would use the large baby blocks and make "quilts" out of scrapbook paper and edge punches for borders. I just couldn't keep my nose out of it! LOL My sister knew that would happen. I love decorating for parties. I want to do a sweets/dessert bar and make it look pretty. So much fun!!!
I'm having two showers. the family shower (where I grew up) is being held at a tea house and the theme is little prince (the invites are a baby boy in a diaper with a crown on climbing onto a thrown... super cute!)
the 2nd shower is a local shower with a monkey theme
Our friends are hosting a couple's shower for us. Our theme is baby preparedness, like disaster preparedness. I thought it was a pretty funny way to not make it seem so girly so they guys won't be bored out of their minds.
My BFF is throwing it and doing a little man/moustache & bow ties theme. She made the silliest invites with moustaches and bow ties on them. She showed me some of the decorations she's going to use. I absolutely love it - cracks me up every time!

OP, that theme sounds adorable! Can't wait to see pics.
When I was pregnant with DD, we were Team Green. My shower "theme" was emerald green, crystals, and leopard print. I LOVED it!

I have no clue what my BFF is planning. I just emailed her the invite list today and she nailed down a location.
She probably hasn't really started it yet because she had a HUGE project that happened yesterday and she mentioned working on it this weekend.
