Today is a sad day for me.

One year ago today my 7 month old niece died of SIDS.

Please keep my brother and SIL in your thoughts as I'm sure they are having a rough time.

    I am so sorry for your loss and for this difficult day.  As a mother who lost a child (my son was stillborn), I know how hard anniversaries are.  The most important thing you can do for your brother and sil is know that you are thinking of her today and always and that you are there for them.  Knowing that people remember my Samuel matters so much to me and helps my healing process.

    Thank you, I wasn't even sure that I could bring myself to call them today (we live on opposite coasts) but I think I will now.

    You should call them.  The one thing that got me thru the first year was the support of my family.  They weren't strong for me...they cried right along with me and because of that I didn't feel alone.  I am sure it is a hard day for everyone in your family.  My thoughts are with you.  And if you feel like you really can't call them, send a card.  Even if it doesn't get to them until a few days, your words will comfort them.
