length of IVF cycle?

I know the timing will be different for everyone, but loooong story short, i will be starting a new job Nov 12 and if there is any way i can take care of most of the early am monitoring appts, before starting new job, i would love to. So with that said, my RE said he would want me on BCP for a week or so, during that time, is anything else going on? injectibles? bloodwork? Can anyone share the break down of their journey? Also, this is probably stupid but its been 7 years since i took BCP, dont i need to start it right after my period? or does it not matter for people doing IVF? Sorry if this sounds rushed, but there is a huge difference between jobs and taking time off. My old one i could go to all the appts, w/o a problem, this new one, it will be very very hard to leave as i am the only one there. I realize it might not work out, but I figured it didnt hurt to ask.

From start to ER my IVF cycle will be around 2 months.
I started with Aygestin then added Lupron. I had my baseline u/s and was pretty much left alone. I had a trial transfer too. I strated stims Friday and went in today for today. I have another appt Thursday and Saturday with ER sometime next week.
6-8 weeks, minimum. I don't think there's any way you would be able to get things done before then. If I were in your shoes, I might wait it out for a bit because you could be late to work due to monitoring and will have to miss anywhere from 1-3 days for your retrieval and transfer.
Re: BCP. I was under the understanding the 2 weeks was the absolute minimum you could be on them but I'm no RE.

My IVF cycle was approx 1 1/2 months long (it will depend on how long you are on BCPs and how long you need to stim since some women respond faster/slower then others). While I was on BCPs I didn't see much of my RE. Once i finished the pills and got AF I had the baseline u/s, saline u/s, and trial transfer on CD4. I then started injections and was on them for approx 10 days, I think. Then of course ER and ET will be wither 3/5 days more.

I figured it would be too good to be true to work out in my favor. I guess I will wait a little and try to figure out a time that might be a little better to start.

Cautiously optimistic.
I got my period on Sept 10, took BCP from Sept 13- 30 and started injects on Oct 4. ER is scheduled for Oct 15. Plus another week for ET, about 6 weeks total. If your RE doesn't want you on a full month of BCP, you might be able to fit it in.
But honestly, I wouldn't want to be stressing out over a new job and scheduling things before you start. If things don't go exactly as planned, you might end up needing to schedule on your first day, or having to take time off right away. If I were in your situation, I would probably delay it for a month and talk to your new boss about taking some time off first.

I def. agree with PP to talk with your Re and see what they think your timeline will be. I know it depends on how your body responds to the meds also.
I seem to have a very short time frame than others I have read.
I had no Lupron/or BCP and started stimming on CD3. My trigger looks like 17/18/19 one of those days, ER abt 10/20 and ET 3-5 days after. So all and all I should be done by around 10/27. I am sure it will vary depending on how I respond.
That is why I am not so upset that I have not found a job yet (UE for about 3 weeks now) because I knew it would be hard with the appts etc. Best of luck to you MRS&MRS!!!!!!
