What I should be eating right now....

Right now I should be eating some calcium rich cheese with whole wheat crackers to maximize the nutrients that my baby receives.

Instead, I am eating Cheetos. An entire big grab bag of cheetos. Why? Because I couldn't get them off of my mind.

If I am still trying to lose baby weight when this child is in kindergarten, I can totally point back to moments like this.

  • I try to deal with cravings by ignoring them. A large portion of the time they will go away. If they persist all day, I will give in, but try to modify. Last night I wanted Americone Dream ice cream from Ben and Jerry's, but I held off and had Greek frozen yogurt instead.
    I haven't gained a lot so I think it's working.

  • I had a pop tart for breakfast.  :(  Moments of weakness are totally fine as long as they aren't all the time - right?
  • I'm eating giant deli made potato wedges. And an entire yes ENTIRE bag of airheads. LOL...so good!

  • Meh - I ate whatever I wanted to before I was pregnant (unless I was training for a marathon) - no real reason for me to change it up now unless there are issues.  With DD#1, I gained 50 lbs, and all of that weight was gone about 3 months after I had her.

  • OMG,I want cheetos now!!!  I was preparing for a healthy message.  There should be a food warning on these posts... :(

    Talk about bad, I had 2 slices of pizza today. 1. Regular cheese slice, but instead of tomato sauce it had vodka sauce, and 2. Cheese slice with bacon on top AND mac & cheese baked under the top layer of cheese.

    Can I make up for it with my snacks? an apple this morning, a fruit cup this afternoon, and mini-pretzels when carb craving hits.  

     That second slice sounds positively delicious and sinful at the same time.....salivated just reading that description!

  • It is pizza for me tonight as well but I haven't had pizza in 4 weeks so I am not feeling guilty. I have been craving dairy as well like greek yogurt, grilled cheese and kraft mac! Feeling a little guilty every time I eat a box of kraft by myself. I am not gaining much weight though. We will find out if they want me to increase my intake tomorrow at the doctor along with hopefully what gender out little bundle will be!

  • Ummm I just polished off an entire mini bag of fried wontons with duck sauce that was left over from our Chinese take out last night. Yikes!

    Well I feel like I've been reasonably disciplined up to this point, and tomorrow's another day....

  • A couple weeks ago I had the same cheeto craving. I don't have enough will power to say no to the cravings...Embarrassed

  • I generally cave every time.  In fact, DH is picking up a Wendy's frosty for me on his way home tonight. Calcium, right? ;-)
