What age did your baby start standing?

My lo is 7 months and she has no interest in standing yet. I know not to compare my child to everyone else but we just left my gym and there were 5 months olds standing! There were LOTS of kiddos there anywhere from 3 months to about 9 months. Pretty much all (except 3 month old) could stand and support themselves but my lo. I try to encourage her and if I hold her up she just trys to bounce up & down for will put slight pressure on my lap then flop down on her knees. She also almost always stays on her tippy toes still is this ok? I'm thinking about buying her one of those activty tables to maybe encourage her to reach up for the toys then maybe she'll start trying to stand.

    Here's a helpful milestone chart:

    7 to 12 month milestones

    Pulling up to stand is an 8 month skill. She's not behind. If she is, then so is mine and I don't consider mine to be behind.

    DD started pulling up at about 8 months. Not to be snarky but enjoy your time now, I can hardly keep up with this kid lol

    My LO is at the 7 month mark. He is pulling up but not standing on his own.

    K used to be able to stan up when i was holding her hands. But then about a month ago she has learnt how to bounce in her doorway jumper and now every time i try to stand her up she thinksmit's her cue to bounce so that's what she does. I am not worried. Her time will come.

    Since 2mo. Seriously. We were trippin. LO would flip out if we didn't help him stand. And now, at 5 1/2 m- he's cruising around our hallways in his walker. ANd LOVES his jumperoo. WHen he was too small to reach the floor in both, I just stacked big books under him. Now he reaches and walks, bounces, etc.

    Don't stress though- they all end up sitting, walking, etc. All in their own time. They all catch up to each other.  If your LO isn't interested, it's ok- she'll be going 100mph before you know it.

    Your 2 month old could pull himself into a standing position? That's nuts.

    DD started pulling up and standing just a week shy of 7 months. She's an extremely busy baby! My BFF's little girl is 8 months and has just started rolling over. Her son only started crawling at 9 months, and was walking by 12. It varies so much from baby to baby...

    Dd has zero interest in bearing weight on her legs. She doesn't even stand on her toes. At her 6 no visit pedi said don't be concerned about it until after 9 mos.

    my son loves to stand if  I hold him up...... I would say get some sort of activity exersaurer (even one that does not move)..I picked one up (stationary) on craigslist for like 25 dollars and the thing has been great for building stregth and just being a place my guy can chill out while I do dishes or whatever.  HTHs :)

    DD has loved standing while being held since literally the day she was born and could support her own weight while standing, just using someone to balance since about 2 months.  She started pulling up to a stand just 2 days after she learned to crawl at 7.5 months.

    My daughter is 7 1/2 months, and she is now trying to pull herself up.  She was able to stand in her crib two nights ago, still on her toes, but she was so happy and proud of herself:D

    We don't encourage her to do anything.  I actually don't want her to stand up so early.   We do not assist her to stand up or use walkers.  Her bones and joints are not ready.  When she can pull herself up, that's when she is ready.
