How long did you use a crib?

My child is just over a year and we did use the crib for the first year.  She started fighting it and was getting anxious so we cuddle her and put her to bed in it initially and then she joins our family bed for most of the night.  I'm noticing now for naps she also hates being confined.  She would normally take naps in her pack n play but now hates it.  I moved a small mattress to her bedroom floor where she is napping happily.  I'm happy with the arrangement because she is happy.  I guess I just thought she would use the crib longer.  Just curious what your relationship with the crib has been.

    Our crib has probably been used two dozen times in the past 3+ years.  The real purpose of our now-sidecarred crib is to serve as a bed rail for the bed that we all share.

    DS never slept in his crib except a few times while it was sidecarred.

    DD will be in her crib until the end of next summer (turns 3 in May) because that is when her next room becomes available. So far she has no problem with sleeping in it. We may convert it to a toddler bed if needed before that time but I suspect that won't happen,

    Our crib has only been used a handful of times. DD sleeps on a mattress on the floor with me and has since she was 4 months old. She's now 20 months. Maybe we'll use it more for 2?? :
