STMs: swelling/numbness down below

I can't really see/haven't looked, but I think I have so much swelling down below that it's soooo numb. I feel like I can't walk without it feeling like something is going to fall out / that my butt is going to fall off. How normal is this and what did you find helpful? I've been icing the area like crazy, but still have trouble standing up straight, walking, and turning over in bed. Not comfy....
