So I am on the hunt for a middle name, I found one I kinda like, that starts with an O. Baby girl's initials would be KOG. Are those horrible initials?
I already threw out mn's that start with E, to avoid the initials KEG

My daughter's initials are OCD, doesn't bother us at all. If it spelled something like ASS or SEX or FU.K, it would have made us change our name choices to avoid those initials but OCD wasn't a big deal.

Is KOG supposed to mean something? I'm not seeing it, but maybe I'm just a little slow today. I think you're over thinking it.
My Ovulation Chart
*TTC #1 since June 2012*
Married since 10/5/12!
*Me: 25**DH: 45*
*DX: Severe MFI- Low T, Delayed Ejaculation & Azoospermia*
*Working to improve DH's numbers on Clomid & HCG injects before we can start IVF*
*SA 1- No sperm* 7/25/12
*SA 2- No sperm* 10/31/12
You are definitely overthinking it. If there are E names you like, I wouldn't throw those out either. KEG isn't a bad word.
Also when I was little, I used to wish that my initials spelled something. I kind of still do. My initials (both before and after I got married) are lame.
I think the only time you have to worry about bad initials is if they spell something horrible, or with the potential for people to make fun of. Nothing springs to mind with KOG.

I think you're over thinking it. My son's initials (without his middle name) are BS. I love his first name too much to let those initials bother me.
We had to be careful if we had a girl. Our last name starts with K and our girl's middle name would have started with a K, so we had to scratch off a lot of first names because I really love K names.
I had this exact same question when picking a MN for DD, whose first name is Kate. Loved the middle name Elizabeth, but thew it out because of the KEG initials. DH didn't think it was a big deal (which also seemed to be the consensus of people on here), but KEG was non-negotiable for me.
I also loved the MN Olivia, but wasn't crazy about KOG as the initials. In the end, We went with Kate Olivia because we loved it, and the KOG initials don't bother me at all. I say go for it!
Cautiously expecting our second little petri dish baby - stick, Baby, stick!
Re: bad initials?
it doesn't mean anything to me that i know of...just sounds ugly, lol. I got married and my initials changed to SAG.
I think I am overthinking it. Thanks!
To me, bad initials are...
B.L.T.
A.S.S.
...stuff like that...

I think I chime in on every initial thread due to my vast experience of going through high school with the initials EZ.
KOG is fine. If the initials spell something sexual, choose a new name.

I see no problem with those initials.
A boy I knew growing up had the initials P.M.S which I thought was kind of silly but yeah we got over it pretty quickly.
