We feed on demand. She also tends to do a lot of comfort nursing at night and when I'm home on weekends. With me, she nurses every two hours or so. At daycare, they also feed her on demand, but she goes 3-4 hours between bottles.
We feed her on demand but she has pretty much put herself on her own schedule. She eats about every 4 hours from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to bed and she sleeps through the night without waking to eat.
I think it's really important to teach our babies to eat when hungry and to not eat when they aren't. So I just follow my child's cues and go from there.

Kind of both. I feed him every 3 hours during the day, and he STTN (sort of. He doesn't eat at night, at least).
If he wanted to eat more often during the day, I would feed him, but that just doesn't really happen. Sometimes we go over 3 hours if he's still napping. That probably happens about 4 or 5 times a week.
He kind of put himself on the schedule and I just help him stick to it.
We loosely follow babywise where I feed him when he wakes up. At daycare, they feed him when he cued, about every 2.5-3 hours. His demand feeds have been consistent, so he has made his own schedule.
