My son is so fussy everynight I hate it. Tonight I fed him at 7 bath at 8 bed at 820 then he was awake at 845 and has been now the last 2 hrs screaming. Idk what to do.
He's 5 wks old. No I don't think cluster feeding. Just fussy. Maybe gas? Lastnight he woke at 130 and was wide awake until 330. Its like he wakes maybe because of gas then he just gets so overtired. Im really trying to stay on a routine all day long: sleep eat play sleep hoping that it helps with this problem, but its not. Then when people want to come visit him I feel like it messes up his schedule bc he's not getting his deep sleep naps. So maybe he's over stimulated. But then how do you have a life? Tell everyone they're not allowed to come over ever?
Its hard to figure out what they need. Don't tell Rora but I tried her letting LO fuss it out yesterday and it was better. Not perfect bc it kept us up but she atleast stayed in her crib and didn't wake up completely or require being held non stop.
Good luck, hoping it is just a growth spurt for you!

Sheesh! I was just kidding. My post yesterday totally wasn't serious about thinking she was spoiled, just a stinker. As a FTM I think that it is hard to realize that IT IS OKAY to let LOs fuss, I (and dozens of other FTMs) automatically think we need to shush the fussing baby.
Obviously letting her fuss a bit last night allowed us to rest without her in bed, good for us and not bad for her.

If LO wakes up at night and is fussy but not crying, I don't pick her up right away. I see if a pacifier will soothe her and see if she'll go back to sleep. Sometimes, babies are just awake. Try giving him the chance to self-soothe. If he cries, then see if there's a diaper or hunger issue.

I dread nighttimes. I can handle him being needy during the day and while we are out and about, but man do I hate the hours of about 8pm-8am. I just feel like a prisoner to his fussiness and demands. I know it is awful, but it will pass...
